Peg
Reagan, Executive Director
Peg
Reagan served a four-year term as county commissioner in a
rural, timber-dependent county along Oregon's coast from
1991-1995. Recognizing the need for
information, communication
and staff support among Oregon's conservation-minded county
commissioners and the opportunity environmental activists
have to turn county commissioners into allies, Reagan
founded the Conservation Leaders Network in 1996. In
1998, the network expanded its geographic scope to encompass
the entire country.
In addition to her work as
the Executive Director of the Conservation Leaders Network
and serving as county commissioner in Curry County, Reagan's
public service includes six years on the Oregon Seismic
Safety policy Advisory Commission, two years on the Oregon
Community Services Commission, two years on the board of
directors of 1000 Friends of Oregon, four years on the
Association of Oregon Counties' Land Use Committee and
Public Lands, Natural Resources and Agriculture committee,
four years on the Oregon Coastal Zone Management Association
and three years as an active member of the Coastal Natural
Hazards Policy Working Group.
Reagan holds an M.A. from
Goddard College and a B.A. from the University of
California, Santa Cruz.
