Bracken Burns
has been a Commissioner in
Washington County, PA, since 1996. He was Chair of the
County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania in 2005 and
served as its President in 2005. He was the Director of
Washington County Emergency Medical Services from 1974-1996.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts, Social Sciences, from Indiana
University of Pennsylvania and attended the University of
Pittsburgh studying Public and International Affairs.
Bob Freimark
is Senior Policy Analyst of the
Pacific Northwest Region of The Wilderness Society. He holds
a Masters of Public Administration in Natural Resource
Policy from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of
Science in Forestry from the University of Montana. Mr.
Freimark has worked for The Wilderness Society in Washington
and Oregon since 1986. Prior work includes forest management
positions in Oregon, Washington, and Montana with the U.S.
Forest Service and the Washington Department of Natural
Resources as well as positions with the Trust for Public
Land and EPA. He has been a leader in Northwest
conservation campaigns to preserve ancient forests and wild
lands.
Barry
Jacobs, Secretary,
has been a member of
the Orange County NC Board of Commissioners since
1998. Now in his third term, he has served as Chair
and Vice-chair a total of six times. Mr. Jacobs also
served on the North Carolina Commission on Smart Growth,
Growth Management and Development. He has worked as
the Caretaker at Moorefields, a house and grounds on the
National Register of Historic Places since 1978, as a
self-employed journalist, primarily covering sports but also
history, environment, and politics for 30 years, and is the
author of several books. He holds a Bachelors’ Degree
in history from Duke University.
John
Woolley,
chair, is a member of the
Humboldt County Board of Supervisors, representing the third
district since 1997. While on the Board, he has been
active in the California Coastal Province Advisory
Committee, the Pacific Coast Fish, Wildlife & Wetlands
Restoration Association, and the North Coast Unified Air
quality Management District Board. In December 1999,
he was appointed by Governor Davis as a member to the
California Coastal Commission. The Commission is
responsible for carrying out California's coastal management
programs and for planning and regulating development in the
coastal zone. From 1975 to 1986, he was a community
economic development planner for the Northern California
Indian Development Council, and from 1982 to 1986, he served
in various capacities for the Humboldt State University
Center for Community Development in Arcata. Mr.
Woolley holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree and teaching
credential from Humboldt State University.
